Meet Jesse Eisenberg & Jim St. Germain

 

 

Looking for something fun (and free!) to do tonight in Brooklyn? Meet Jesse Eisenberg (actor/ activist) and Jim St. Germain (author/ activist) at an inspiring conversation and book signing tonight (5/18/18) at Electropositive, a cool co-working/ events space in Crown Heights (639 Classon Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11238) from 7-10 pm.

The men will discuss their activist work and their efforts to bring positive changes in the community and will share their thoughts on mentoring, family and fatherhood, and the story of American immigrants in our society today and the politics surrounding these issues.

Jesse Eisenberg

Actor, playwright and activist, Jesse Eisenberg is best known for his roles in Adventureland, Zombieland, and The Social Network for his portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and has earned nominations for various awards, including the BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Academy Award for Best Actor.

Eisenberg is also an author of several books and essays and has been a contributor to The New Yorker and other prestigious publications.

Jim St.Germain

Author and activist Jim St. Germain is the co-founder of PLOT, Preparing Leaders of Tomorrow, a mentoring non-profit for at-risk youth in Brooklyn, New York. His memoir  “A Stone of Hope” tells his struggle as a young African-American man struggling to overcome a life of crime.

St. Germain was appointed by former President Barack Obama to the Coordinator Council on Juvenile and Justice Delinquency Prevention (CCJJ).
